The Purpose Of Drain Tarps And Leak Diverters Leak diverters and drain tarps are designed to protect people and equipment from overhead leaks. The standard drain tarp size is 5 x 5 but when the size reaches any larger than 10 x 10 the D-rings are placed on the center of each side of the tarp.
