Heavy Duty Fire Retardant Poly Tarps

Tarps Plus™ is the leader in certified fire retardant poly tarps.  We are one of the only true CPAI-84 and NFPA 701 certificate holders for fire retardant poly tarps.  This means we certify our tarps directly with the state of California and the standard that was set for flammability of tents and tarps. It was set by the Industrial Fabrics Association International. The name CPAI stands for Canvas Products Association International, which used to be the name of IFAI.  Our fire retardant tarps come with the certificate that shows we are a proven certified maker of the CPAI-84, which is the highest of standards.

Our fire retardant heavy duty poly tarps are built to last and for people who want to get longer and more use out of their tarp.  Heavy duty tarps are built thicker, with a UV treatment and reinforced corner bars on all four corners.  These tarps are made out of a tighter woven polyethylene weave than the light duty tarps, which makes it more dense and durable.  The heavy duty tarps stand tough against harsher conditions more so than the light duty tarps and ideal for applications like canopy tent covers for public events where fire prevention is a regulation, welding curtains, pond liners, longer-term emergency roof coverage after a storm, long term sunlight protection, athletic field covers or moderate debris hauling.

Some Uses Include car, boat, truck, and RV coverage, makeshift shelters, keeping firewood dry, and providing longer-term shade.  The uses for a heavy duty tarp are nearly endless and is always a great idea to keep one on hand, whether at home or on the go.
