Frequently Asked Questions

The size of tarp I am looking for is not on the website, do you make custom tarps?
Yes. Our custom tarps department can help you get any type of tarp you need. For custom tarp orders

How long will it take to receive my order?
We ship our orders within 1 to 2 business working days. This means, the order leaves our warehouse within 1 to 2 business after the order was placed. All ground orders usually take the following amount of time after they have been shipped:

West Coast = approx. 1 to 2 business working days
Mid West = approx. 3 to 4 business working days
East Coast = approx. 4 to 5 business working days

UPS ground shipments can take up to 7 to 15 business working days to arrive but this is highly unlikely.

What tarp cuts out most of the light and is the coolest?
Our silver tarps. Because the silver is made with a black mesh inside of the material. The silver does not allow any light to pass through. Our white, Red Green, orange and yellow tarps are translucent. Light (not UV rays) will pass through. You will get the natural light. Our shade screen/mesh tarps has 73% shade protection and does allow water to pass through.

Do you accept purchase orders?
Yes. All purchase orders must open an account with us. We require bank and credit references and other information. To open an account please call: 661-480-1562. Once an account has been established, purchase orders can be made.

Can I return a tarp after it has been opened?
No. Once the plastic seal on a package has been opened, we cannot accept any returns. Please see our warranty policy on our info page.

How do I cancel my order?
Due to our large volume of orders it is difficult for us to locate your order once processing starts, please call to cancel any orders within 1-12 hours, however we cannot promise we will be able to locate and cancel your package. There will be a $10 charges for all cancelled orders. It is not possible to cancel orders after shipment. If you wish to cancel your order prior to delivery, please contact us immediately. Orders will be canceled if items have not been shipped. If items have been shipped, you must follow our standard return procedures. Please see the returns section for further details on returning your product. If you refuse delivery, we will refund the item cost minus any associated shipping and restocking fees. If you wish to cancel your order prior to delivery, please contact us immediately at tarpsplus@yahoo.com. Orders will be canceled if items have not been shipped. If items have been shipped, you must refuse delivery or follow our standard return procedures. Please see the returns section for further details on returning your product.

Are all the tarps good with windy conditions?
Yes, very much so, but we cannot guarantee against any type of weather related incidents. If you are in a windy area and you wish to tie your tarps to something, we recommend bungee cords with hooks which can be seen on our Accessories page.

How should I tie my tarps down?
We suggest using bungee hooks or bungee balls through the grommet. This assures flexibility and less stress on the material.

Can I use the canvas tarps for my canopy?
Canvas tends to expand and retract in the rain and sun. We advise only using polyethylene for canopy top covers.

The tarp I received is 3 to 4 inches less on each side... what is a "Cut Size".
The cut size is the industry's standard way to measure. I.E. a 10x20 can be a (Approx.) 9'8"x19'10".

Can the material bounce and be used for a trampoline? Can the tarp flex?
These tarps are built with a strong nylon mesh and will not flex or stretch.

What does mil thickness mean?
A mil is a unit of length equal to 0.001 of an inch (0.0254 mm). Mil is used to measure the thickness of tarps. Normally, the thicker a tarp is, the better quality the tarps will be.

What is the difference between a canopy and a tarp?
"Canopy" is a protective covering mounted on a frame with poles. A "tarp" is a material such as waterproofed canvas used to cover and keep valuables dry.

My poly tarp says water resistant and I ordered waterproof. Does this mean my tarp is not waterproof?
No. Your poly tarp is waterproof. All our poly tarps are waterproof as well as being water resistant. Note: this does not guarantee your tarp will not leak under all circumstances due too many different applications that we can not control.

What are your tarps used for?
