The date for the opening of the new Tarps Plus headquarters has been set for January 7th 2013. The new Texas facility will be a state of the art warehouse distribution facility, equipped with over 4000 square feet of office and 30,000 square feet of warehouse and multiple loading docks, all set on a 10 acre lot to allow for future expansion. The official celebration for the grand opening will be Saturday January 26th. The central state will enable shipments of tarps to be delivered faster for customers in need of emergencies as well as regular customers wanting fast service. Many times during a hurricane, large shipments of poly tarps are needed but tarps suppliers can only get the shipments out so fast. Tarps Plus has strategically placed the new facility for this reason. The location is outside of the rim of most hurricane zones and tornado alley. In the event of large scale hurricane, truck loads of tarps can now be brought into the gulf region immediately. More than 90% of the Atlantic based hurricanes hit the Gulf Of Mexico region.
Wind turbine energy will also be a part of the new facility. The turbines will supply green energy as well as act as a stand by generator that can be kicked in in the event of power outages.
