For years people have learned the art of making tarp shelters.One of the uses of such a shelter is to make sure that in extreme conditions a person is able to find shelter. There are several ways in which a person can create a tarp shelter, but one of the fastest and easiest way to do it will be explained below.
first, we will begin by describing just exactly what a tarp is. A tarp is a canvas that is waterproof. Men in the army and Boy Scouts are taught how to build these shelters. Being able to build such a shelter is a very helpful survival tool. You do not need many materials in order to build one.
The materials you will need is obviously the canvas, heavy string, stakes, and to trees. The first thing you need to do is to string the heavy string in between two trees. Then you take the tarp canvas and drape it over string. It would be helpful if you have an object that can pierce through canvas. A pocket knife will do fine.
Take the pocketknife and make a small hole in the four corners of the tarp. Take some string and knot it through. Pull the strings, and fasten them securely in the ground with a stake. When you are finished you will have a small tee pee like shelter.
You will find that it will be a sufficient wall between you and strong winds. It will protect you from the cold as well. Granted, you will not be able to escape the cold completely, but you will in fact be able to bear the weather. It is quite imperative that you understand how to escape one of these.
