New Orleans Louisiana - As the seven year anniversary of Hurricane Katrina nears, another hurricane has entered the gulf and approaches New Orleans. Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal has issued a state of emergency and has urged residents in low lying areas to leave ahead of the storm. Tarps Plus has issued several orders of poly tarps and hurricane covers of various types to the area. Tarps Plus CEO Michael Stein says, "We stock pile a large number of blue poly tarps for situations just like this and are ready to send them out at a moments notice. Tarps Plus works closely with the National Guard, FEMA, USACE and the Red Cross to get tarps and supplies to people need after the storm hits.
The National Hurricane Center has issuied hurricane warnings all along the the Florida Panhandle, Louisiana and Mississippi. Tarps Plus has committed to get tarps to hurricane stricken areas with 72 hours.
